The Life Change Station

The primary mission of the Life Change Station (LCS) is to assist individuals in a change process needed to abide lawfully within the community, free of substance abuse.
Our Commitment
LCS will provide substance abuse counseling to men and women who are under the supervision of the Kansas City Municipal Courts, Jackson County Courts and Missouri State Probation and Parole. The program will operate at Footprints, Inc, outpatient facility located at 4501 Troost Kansas City, MO. The contact providers are Wayne White and Kim White. Each referral will receive a minimum of 36 hours of service in a 16 week period.
The contact hours will include, but not be limited to the following: (1) hour of group counseling (1) hour of group education and (1) hour of individual/case management per month. Recovery Guest are required to attend group two times per week.
Description of Program Care Coordination
Help insure regular contact with the clinical treat ment provider for evaluation of progress
Help individuals engaged in clinical treatment access the network for services and other community resources available to them in order to facilitate retention in treatment and sustained recovery
Develop an informal support system
Family Engagement/Conference
Assist the family in making changes that support recovery for all members of the family
Provide the structure to support stabilization in the family
Engage the client's family to enhance their understanding of the treatment and recovery process in order to assist toward treatment goals
Pastoral Counseling
Assist clients and their family members in various crisis as a result of substance abuse
Incorporate faith in the substance abuse recovery process
Recovery Support (Group) Recovery Support (Individual)
Identify and assist in shifting of destructive patterns that may lead to relapse/reuse Conduct face-to-face interaction between an experienced recovery support person and an individual who is engaged in clinical treatment
Assist in establishing recovery support to help clients remain engaged in treatment
Provide support in securing an experienced sponsor
Engage clients in recovery support groups

Work Preparation
Assist an individual in finding or maintaining employment during the course of treatment
